Brownstown!

My blog wouldn't be complete without me posting a video of my Cleveland Browns. Here, a few highlights from an otherwise-dismal season.

I'm sure there are plenty of other videos to post about my other dreary Cleveland teams...Indians and Cavaliers specifically...but why torture you with it? The content is here for my grade. Thanks for stopping by.

Rocks Off!

Widely considered one of the best rock n' roll songs ever. I'm sure there are plenty of folks that would argue for theirs, but for me, it wins hands down.

Rugby Big Hits!

A YouTube video of some pretty big rugby hits. I wonder how these guys would fare in American football?

Graduation!

Last weekend I was in St Louis for Kaitlin's graduation ceremony and for the double celebration of both Jennifer and Kaitlin's graduation. Jenn graduated the weekend before in Boulder, which Lindsey and Jolynn and I didn't attend, in spite of originally planning to do so. Jenn decided she wasn't going to walk, then she changed her mind, and by that time....it all became very muddled, but in the end she walked anyways.

So St Louis was going to be a celebration for both girls, with Kaitlins ceremony taking place. We had decent weather, if a little rainy, but for a PNW'er like me it was no big deal. My family was there...brother John and his daughter Kayla, who just graduated from high school and is headed to University of Miami (Ohio), sister Katy from Dayton and brutha Peetah from here. Lindseys sisters were there too, as well as my little Maggie and her mom Jolynn. Lots of family and lots of fun. We even went up in the arch near downtown. St Louis is a great town and, after Jenn is done with her summer school, she will be moving there to live with Kaitlin, who found a job locally and is staying too. Couldn't be happier for my two beautiful smart daughters.

Kenton Street Fair

Today was the much-anticipated Kenton Street Fair. The weather was threatening to ruin it with rain and hail, and she didn't disappoint, but Dianne and I managed to 'dodge squalls' and get on our bike for her maiden voyage.

Dianne purchased a blue Schwinn Twinn tandem bike, circa 1969, from the Chicago area and had it shipped here to PDX. She's a beauty and has received loads of praise from our Belligerante friends. We didn't think we'd get the chance to ride her yesterday, based on circumstances that were out of our hands, but in the end we worked our way through it and got the bike and rode her down to the fair in one of the few glorious doses of sunshine to be had between downpours and hail. All in all, a really fun day of biking and drinking beer with our friends.
